Work Visa
Saudi Arabia's work visa, also known as the employment visa, allows foreign workers to enter for job purposes and convert to an Iqama residency permit upon arrival. It is typically valid for 90 days initially, requiring a Saudi employer sponsor.
Eligibility
Applicants need a confirmed job offer from a Saudi employer, who must secure Ministry of Labor approval first. Age limits and Saudization quotas apply, prioritizing skills not available locally. Pakistanis qualify if meeting job-specific criteria like relevant qualifications.
Application Process
The employer applies for a work permit via the Ministry of Labor, then obtains MOFA visa delegation (Tafwid/e-Wakala). Submit documents at Saudi embassy/VFS in Pakistan, including biometrics and medical exam. Processing takes 2-4 weeks; enter within 90 days to get Iqama.
Required Documents
Passport valid 6+ months with blank pages.
2-3 recent passport photos (white background).
Signed employment contract attested by Saudi Chamber of Commerce and MOFA.
Educational certificates (degree/diploma) attested by Saudi Cultural Bureau.
Medical report, police clearance, and proof of payment via Enjazit.
Notes for Pakistanis
Process through VFS centers or agents; employer handles initial approvals. Costs include fees (SR 2,000+), medicals, and attestation. Unlike tourist/Umrah visas, no self-application—full employer sponsorship required.
